CASed cards

A bunch of cards I CASed over the last few months...Some of these are almost exact copies of cards I've seen on the web, others have a bit of my own touch. But I cannot take any credit for these designs. I just had fun making them...

Dude

I had fun with this one! I bought this Extreme Skateboard stamp ages ago, and though I love it, it never did make it on a card, till now...

This is my 2nd entry for this weeks, CASology Challenge 151

Supplies used:
Stamps: Stampin' Up! Extreme Skateboard (retired), Gorgeous Grunge
Cardstock: SU Whipsper White
Ink: SU Old Olive, Tangerine Tango, Tempting Turquoise, So Saffron, Going Gray (retired)
Other: SU Navy Blue Embossing Powder

Honk, Beep, Zoom

We're moving in 3 weeks! And my stamping stuff gets packed up this weekend, so this will be my last card for a while (though I will be posting a couple more I made this week over the next few days).

This card is for a 3 year old who loves anything that moves.

I went really simple with this one! I needed a bit more "pop" so I cut the wheels of all the vehicles and popped them up.

I'm entering this card into this week's CASology challenge 151: kids:

And this week's CAS(E) this sketch #128

Supplies used:
Stamps: Stampin' Up! By Land, MFT You Move Me

Hop Over

I've been doing a lot of sewing lately, but I did make a few cards that in the last couple weeks that I'll be posting...eventually...

Jewish holiday cards definitely challenge my creativity as there is a shortage of Jewish themed stamps....This is what I came up with for Passover (the frog is a symbol of one of the ten plagues).

The MFTWSC222 sketch provided my card layout inspiration.

And as Passover which always falls out in Spring, I will be entering this into the CAS-ology cue card Spring callenge.

Supplies used:
Stamps: Lawn Fawn Harold's ABC's,  Whimsy Basic Backgrounds and Borders, SU Moving Forward (retired)
Cardstock: Neenah Solar White, SU Wild Wasabi
Ink: SU Wild Wasabi, So Saffron, and Tangerine Tango, Memento Tuxedo Black

it's just a number!

This card was inspired by Susan Rahaila's number wrap card here (scroll down to the last card). I was originally going to make my card a wrap too, but it wasn't working with this die....I was also going to do white on white, but had this stamped chevron piece of cardstock leftover from another card on the table, and loved the look of it. Looks slightly retro to me....Especially with the rough spots in the ink (sometimes they're a good thing, right?)..

I'm entering this into this weeks CAS-ology challenge #134, cue card MONOCHROME.

Here's a close up of the layered die cut:

And here's the inside of the card:

Super Hero "5" Signal Card

I made this card for a super hero themed birthday party. This was my first time sponging ink as a background....I think I could use some practice, but I think the splotchy results work for this card. Yes?

Cardstock: SU Whisper White, SU Basic Black, SU so saffron
Ink: SU blues (I don't remember which colors I used!)

Pink and Grey Baby Card

The "Less is More" color challenge for this week is "Pink and Grey," I adore this color combination. I made this card using some of my new goodies from  Mama Elephant. The Up and Away stamp set was love at first sight, and I finally got my hands on it last month.

I'm also entering this into Simon Says Wednesday Challenge, "All Creatures Great and Small."

I included a little home made baby toy with the card - it makes a crinkly noise and has all the fun ribbons to pull on (next time I'll make some ribbons shorter, some longer...)

Supplies used:

Stamps: Mama Elephant Up and Away, CSS cart pals: Baby
Cardstock: Neenah Solar White, SU Smoky SLate, SU pink Pirouette

I really love how this card came out!! I think it's my favorite card yet...

I have a lot more cards to share. I've made the last couple weeks, I just haven't had a chance to pull out my computer, so be sure to check back next week for more....

Feathers for MFT

Although, I'm still working on developing my personal style in cardmaking, I'm usually not big on lots and lots of layers. I've been wanting to play along with the MFT card challenges, but the multitudes of layers is often too intimidating for my leaning-towards-CAS style. But when I saw this week's simpler sketch, I gave it a shot. Here's the result:

And here's this week's MFTWSC212 sketch:

My card is vertical, and I rounded the bottom corners of my layer instead of a scallop edge, but otherwise, followed the sketch pretty closely...

Supplies used:

Stamps: MFT right on target, SU stipple plaid (retired)
Cardstock: SU Crumb Cake, SU Baja Breeze (retired) Neenah Solar White
Ink: SU Crumb Cake
Dies: MFT Feathers and arrows
Accessories: SU candy dots, twine, button

I've also made other wallets, card/business card holder, crayon rolls, crayon/paper holders with handle, door latch stoppers (to help doors close quietly), jean lunch bags, and re-purposed banded tank. If anyone is interested in my posting more of my sewing creations here, please let me know in the comments.

Not your typical baby card

I know, this is my first card in a few weeks. My stamping goodies are feeling a bit neglected. I've been doing a lot of sewing, I'll try posting some of the things I made in the next few days. But I've missed my cardmaking supplies, and when my good friend had a baby girl on New Year's, it was the perfect opportunity to make her this card:

I saw the expression, and just had to make a card with it! I've also been wanting to use this Paper Smooches background builders die set for the Paper Smooches "Anything Goes" Challenge this week.

I'm also entering this card into the Simon Says "Something New" Challenge (new baby on a new  year).
